OUR BEGINNINGS
I am Sensei Joe
I am a lifelong Martial Artist who has been practicing and teaching the arts for over 50 years. My pursuit for knowledge and training has led me to cross paths with many amazing Masters, practitioners, and pioneers of the martial arts which has given me a tremendous insight on how to teach and pass on the knowledge I have accumulated over the years.
I have high ranking Black belts and teaching credentials in six different martial arts styles… Ishoado Karate, GoJu Karate, Atemi Ryu Jiu Jitsu, Sanuces, Karado and Chendokan Aikido. I have also trained with and teach multiple traditional and non-traditional weapons.
My vast training and learning experiences are wrapped in the personel training approach that I offer my students.
Martial Arts is not only about self-defense and competition but discipline, respect, confidence and character development.
I teach my students the HOW and WHY of what they are doing. Doing this teaches them how to flow from one situation to the next thus developing smooth transitions between techniques that they can apply to real life scenarios. I enforce the never give up attitude in my students that propels them to move confidently in and outside of the dojo.
I personally teach and train with all my students in private and group classes, as I pride myself in leading by example. My daily training habits allow me to push myself to achieve new levels of my own knowledge so that I can pass these skills on to all my students.
